What is NFC and how does it work?
NFC stands for near field communication. It is the same technology used in contactless bank card payments. When someone holds an NFC-enabled phone near an NFC product, a card, sticker, or tag, the phone reads the chip and opens a link, saves a contact, or connects to WiFi instantly. No app is required. Most iPhones from XR onwards and virtually all modern Android phones support NFC.
Do my customers need a special app to tap NFC products?
No. NFC is a native phone feature, it is built in, just like Bluetooth. On iPhones, NFC scanning is automatic when you hold the phone near an NFC chip. On Android, NFC is typically enabled by default. No app download, no account, no setup on the customer side.
What can an NFC product link to?
Anything with a URL. A Google review link, your website, a WhatsApp chat, a digital menu, a contact card (vCard), a PDF, a social media profile, a WiFi password, a booking form, or a product page. You choose what happens when someone taps your NFC product.
Can I change the link after I receive the product?
Yes, if you program the chip through a URL shortener or NFC management platform. We typically program your chip with a static link. If you want the ability to change the destination later without reprinting the card, let us know when ordering and we will set it up with a redirect URL you can update yourself.
What is the minimum order quantity?
There is no strict minimum on most standard products. You can order as few as 10 to 20 pieces, though pricing per unit is more competitive at higher volumes. Bulk orders from 50 pieces qualify for volume discounts. Contact us for a quote based on your required quantity.
How long does delivery take in the UAE?
Standard orders with basic branding are typically ready in 5 to 7 business days. Fully custom printed products with premium finishes can take 10 to 15 business days depending on complexity. We deliver to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and all other emirates. Express options may be available, ask us when ordering.
Can NFC products be fully custom branded?
Yes. Every NFC product we supply can be printed with your logo, brand colours, and design. We support offset printing, digital printing, spot UV, embossing, and die-cut shapes. Send us your design files or brief us and we will develop artwork for your approval before production.
What NFC products work best for restaurants?
For restaurants, the most popular NFC products are NFC menu cards, Google review NFC stands, and NFC WiFi cards. The menu card opens your digital menu on tap. The review stand sits at the table or counter and prompts customers to leave a Google review. The WiFi card lets guests connect in one tap without typing a password.
Are NFC business cards better than paper cards?
For most professionals in the UAE, yes. A printed NFC business card lets you share your contact details, LinkedIn, website, or any link with a single tap, no QR scanning, no app, no paper that gets lost. They are durable, reusable, and create a stronger first impression. You still get printed, branded cards, just smarter.
Do Google review NFC cards actually work?
Yes. When a customer taps a Google review NFC card, their phone opens directly to your Google review prompt. No searching, no finding your listing. This removes friction and significantly increases the likelihood of a review being left. Many of our restaurant and salon clients report a measurable increase in review volume after placing our stands at reception.
What is the price range for NFC products in Dubai?
Pricing starts from AED 1/piece for basic NFC stickers and tags at volume. NFC business cards typically range from AED 3 to 15 per piece depending on material, print finish, and quantity.
